Technical Data:

*Coefficient of friction will vary depending upon application, method film build, substrate profile, and surface contamination. Reference listed is over a smooth trowelled surface. Meets or exceeds the following test methods: G-23-F 2000 Hrs. / TT-C-555b No effect.

Preparation:

CONCRETE "PAVER" FINISH COAT - Please refer to the ICPI Tech Spec #5, to determine the correct cleaning procedures and product choice for sealing pavers in variable environments. Available at www.icpi.org, orcontact your local ICPI chapter.For new pavers no preparation is necessary other than removing any dirt, efflorescence, or sand. For older paversthe surface must be free from dirt, grease and mildew. Scrub with detergent or treat with bleach as needed and rinse thoroughly. If the pavers have been previously sealed, special caution must be taken to insure that PAVERSEALER 335 will adhere to the old sealer. PAVER SEALER 335 will adhere to most solvent based acrylic sealers, but may not adhere to polyurethane or silicate type sealers. Contact the previous installer to find out what type of sealer was used or try a test area. Call your dealer or TUF-TOP for help if uncertain.

BARE CONCRETE DRIVEWAYS & WALKS - Concrete should be clean, dry, and free from grease, oiland previous coatings. Pressure washing is recommended. Will adhere over most acrylic sealers . A test patch is recommended to check for adhesion or incompatibility.

SPRAY DECK - Foe newly applied spray deck, no preparation is necessary other than removing anydirt, efflorescence and loose material. The surface must be completely dry, and have a pH. of 10.5 or lessor "blushing" / poor adhesion may occur.

PAVER SEALER 335 may be tinted with up to 2 fl. oz per gallon with Industrial tints to achieve an antique or highlighted effect.

Application:

DO NOT APPLY if rain or heavy dew are forecast within 24 hours of application. Moisture will cause coatingto "blush" if not fully cured before exposure. Low temperatures and or high humidity will lengthen cure time.

APPLY in thin coats,allowing at least 2 hours between coats with no more than 4 coats in a 24 hour periodto guard against solvent trapping. Do not over apply, blushing, crazing, dirt pick-up and tire printing may result.

CONCRETE "PAVER" FINISH COAT - Apply with roller, brush, airless, conventional spray equipment.For most applications,two coats are preferred. Apply first coat, allow to dry a minimum of 6 hours depending onweather, and apply second coat. For best results do not dilute. Allow overnight drying for light foot traffic and48-72 hours before driving on.

Limitations:

• DO NOT APPLY when air or surface temperatures are below 50 degrees Fahrenheit ( 10 C ) or are expected to fallthere before the coating can dry.
• DO NOT APPLY to wet or damp surfaces.
• DO NOT APPLY when it may rain or if dew may condense on the surface before CRYSTAL SEAL will have a chance to dry.
• NOT FOR USE on STAMPED CONCRETE!
• NOT FOR USE on FIRED BRICK, CERAMIC, OR WIRE CUT TILE!
• DO NOT OVER APPLY! Blushing , crazing, dirt pick-up and tire printing may result.
• MAY NOT ADHERE to some alkyd, urethane, or silicone modified coatings.
• DO NOT APPLY when it may rain or if dew may condense on the surface before CRYSTAL SEAL will have a chance to dry.
• DO NOT ALLOW to freeze. Store above 32 degrees Fahrenheit ( 0 C).
• APPLY IN THIN COATS ONLY, OVER APPLICATION MAY RESULT IN EXTENDED DRY TIMES, BLUSHING, OR POOR DURABILITY.

Drying Time:

Normally dries in 1-3 hours and can be walked on after drying overnight. 48 hours are generally required beforeheavy foot traffic. Low temperatures and high humidity can extend drying and curing time

Maintenance:

Small scratches may be repaired with a small amount of Xylene and a brush. Apply a small amount of Xylene to the affected area and re-flow the sealer into the scratch. For larger areas or for re-coating, make sure the surfaceis clean, completely dry and free from contaminants. Re-apply a thin, light coat to the wear areas. Lap lines maybe feathered with xylene.
